Are you interested in making a difference this winter?

Consider helping older adults stay safe throughout the winter by shoveling their driveways and sidewalks!

The Concord Council on Aging is looking for student volunteers to provide snow shoveling assistance to seniors who are physically unable to maintain snow-free and safe pathways to their homes.

We will match student volunteers with one or two seniors and ask that volunteers shovel within 36 hours of a snowfall of two inches or more. This extension allows enough time for the roads to be plowed and ensures the volunteer a safe and reasonable time to get the senior’s home.

Equipment is provided by the Senior. Each senior will have a snow shovel for the volunteer to use.

Please contact Lauren Barretta at the COA to express your interest.
